SHATTUCK-ST MARY'S FOREST CITY INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL TARGET 1,000 STUDENTS FOR ITS FIRST PHASE OF ENROLMENT

ISKANDAR PUTERI, Aug 26 (Bernama) -- One of the top boarding schools in the United States, Shattuck-St Mary's School is expecting to cater more than 1,000 students by next year under phase one of its enrolment at the Forest City campus, here.

Head of Shattuck-St Mary's Forest City International School, Graham Gamble said the enrolment will run in three phases with the total student capacity at 3,000.

“The first phase will take about 1,000 students, from the early age of three to 18 years old, and we are very optimistic of our enrolment growth and we hope to achieve our 3,000 students target in the next few years.

“This will be the school's first global campus, located here in Southeast Asia, we have something really unique to offer in terms of strong value proposition and we are the only distinguished American school with a 160-year history here in Johor,” he told the media after the opening ceremony of Shattuck-St Mary's Forest City International School, here, today.

Gamble added that until today, the number of students who have enrolled is 160, ranging from pre-school to high school - at the start of the new school year in August aided by 17 teachers from China, United Kingdom, Philippines, South Korea, Japan and The United States.
